ComfortAI ("we", "us", or "our") provides an AI companion designed to support people living with diabetes. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or joining our waitlist, you agree to this policy.

We may collect:

• Contact details — such as your email address when you join the waitlist or contact us.
• Account and profile information — if you create an account or become a founding member, details you choose to provide.
• Usage and device data — limited technical information such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address, used to improve the site.
• Payment-related information — when you purchase a founding membership, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

We use information to:

• Send waitlist updates and product announcements you signed up for
• Provide, maintain, and improve ComfortAI
• Process founding member purchases and related communications
• Respond to support requests
• Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We will not use waitlist emails for unrelated marketing without your consent.

ComfortAI may eventually process health-related inputs you choose to share (for example meal context or glucose-related notes) to personalize guidance. That information is treated as sensitive. We use it only to provide the service you request, with appropriate safeguards. ComfortAI is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate (for example hosting, email delivery, and payment processing), only as needed for those services and under appropriate agreements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ComfortAI and our users.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Waitlist emails are retained until you ask us to remove them or we close the waitlist.

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@comfortai.app. You may unsubscribe from waitlist emails using the link in those messages or by contacting us.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ComfortAI is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
